What time is check-in and check-out?
Check-in is at 3:00 PM (self check-in - instructions sent 24 hours before arrival). Check-out is by 11:00 AM. Early check-in or late check-out may be available on request, subject to availability.
How does self check-in work?
We offer fully self-managed check-in for maximum flexibility. You will receive detailed access instructions, key codes, and entry steps 24 hours before your arrival. No need to meet anyone - arrive at your own pace.
Is there WiFi?
Yes. High-speed WiFi is available throughout both villas. Network name: CasaArcilla_Guest.
How deep is the pool?
The private pool is 5 feet deep with a tiered shallow entry, making it comfortable for both swimmers and non-swimmers. Pool and lounge chairs are exclusive to your villa.
Is there air conditioning?
Yes. Air conditioning is available throughout both villas - in every bedroom and common area.
Do I need a 4x4 vehicle?
A 4x4 is strongly recommended, especially during the green season (May to November) when roads can be muddy. The 506 Tennis Center is accessible by most vehicles in dry season, but a higher-clearance vehicle gives you confidence on all the surrounding jungle roads and beach access routes.
How far is the airport?
Liberia International Airport (LIR) is approximately 2.5 hours by car - the most popular option for international arrivals. San Jose International Airport (SJO) is approximately 5 hours by car. Alternatively, you can fly into Nosara's small domestic airstrip (10 minutes from the property) on a 45-minute domestic flight from San Jose.
What is Bodhi Tree Yoga Resort?
Bodhi Tree Yoga Resort is a world-renowned yoga and wellness retreat located directly next door to Casa Arcilla. Guests have easy access to daily yoga classes, workshops, retreats, and the on-site restaurant. It is one of the primary reasons guests choose Nosara.
Is the property secure?
Yes. Casa Arcilla is located within the exclusive 506 Tennis Center, a private gated community with 24-hour security. A private gated entrance and on-property parking are included.
Is there a damage deposit?
For direct bookings we place a refundable card hold 2-7 days before arrival: USD $750 for Villa One or Villa Two, $1,500 for both villas. It is released within 7 days of check-out after inspection and only charged for damage, missing items or extra cleaning. Airbnb, Booking.com and Vrbo bookings are covered by each platform's damage program. Full details on our House Rules page (casaarcilla.com/house-rules).
Are smoking and pets allowed?
Smoking is not permitted inside either villa. Outdoor areas only. Pets are not allowed at this property.
What is the cancellation policy?
Full refund for cancellations 30 or more days before check-in. 50% refund for cancellations 7 to 30 days before check-in. No refund for cancellations less than 7 days before check-in. See the full cancellation policy on your booking confirmation or at our cancellation page.
How do I book or check availability?
You can check availability and book directly at casaarcilla.com - book direct and skip OTA fees. You can also contact us via WhatsApp or email - we reply within a few hours, usually same day.
